Are you a skilled and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking to make a difference in primary education?

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to support primary classes across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) in Wakefield. As a valued member of the school team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to teachers and ensuring a positive learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality support across KS1 and KS2, assisting with lesson planning and implementation.

  • Providing individual and small group support to pupils to enhance their learning and development.

  • Helping to maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Supporting children with a range of learning needs, including those with additional needs or special educational requirements.

  • Assisting in the assessment of pupil progress and reporting to teaching staff.

  • Promoting positive behaviour and supporting the emotional well-being of students.

  • The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a valid HLTA qualification (essential).

  • Have experience working in a primary school setting, ideally across both KS1 and KS2.

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and best practices in supporting pupil development.

  • Be proactive, adaptable, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.

  • Possess excellent communication skills and a passion for making a positive impact on children's learning.
