Are you a skilled and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking to make a difference in primary education?
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to support primary classes across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) in Wakefield. As a valued member of the school team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to teachers and ensuring a positive learning environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering high-quality support across KS1 and KS2, assisting with lesson planning and implementation.
Providing individual and small group support to pupils to enhance their learning and development.
Helping to maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
Supporting children with a range of learning needs, including those with additional needs or special educational requirements.
Assisting in the assessment of pupil progress and reporting to teaching staff.
Promoting positive behaviour and supporting the emotional well-being of students.
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a valid HLTA qualification (essential).
Have experience working in a primary school setting, ideally across both KS1 and KS2.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and best practices in supporting pupil development.
Be proactive, adaptable, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Possess excellent communication skills and a passion for making a positive impact on children's learning.
