  • Veritas Education is pleased to be working with a small SEN school in Stockton-on-Tees. This supportive school caters to boys and girls aged 6-18 years old with a diverse range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs alongside complex associated conditions.

    As part of a successful and inclusive trust, the school is committed to valuing staff well-being and fostering a supportive working environment.

    Role Overview:

    We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work closely with pupils, supporting their learning, development, and emotional well-being within a nurturing and structured setting.

    Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or complex needs (desirable)
  • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
  • A commitment to supporting inclusive education and promoting positive behaviour
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Hold a DBS on the update service (preferably a child & adult DBS)
