RE and PSHE teacher

Location: North Shields Fixed contract: January - December 2026 Pay Scale: MPS/UPS (England & Wales)

A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in North Shields is seeking a passionate and adaptable RE and PSHE Teacher to join their team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. The school offers a diverse and engaging curriculum to students aged 11-16, with a strong focus on personal development, respect, and preparing pupils for life beyond the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in RE and PSHE across KS3 and KS4
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners
  • Assess and monitor student progress effectively
  • Contribute to the wider pastoral and personal development programme
  • Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience teaching RE and PSHE at KS3 and KS4
  • Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
  • Committed to inclusive education and student wellbeing
