Location: North Shields Fixed contract: January - December 2026 Pay Scale: MPS/UPS (England & Wales)
A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in North Shields is seeking a passionate and adaptable RE and PSHE Teacher to join their team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. The school offers a diverse and engaging curriculum to students aged 11-16, with a strong focus on personal development, respect, and preparing pupils for life beyond the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in RE and PSHE across KS3 and KS4
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners
- Assess and monitor student progress effectively
- Contribute to the wider pastoral and personal development programme
Ideal Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience teaching RE and PSHE at KS3 and KS4
- Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
- Committed to inclusive education and student wellbeing
