Veritas Education are proud to be working exclusively with a supportive and high-achieving primary school in Blackburn, seeking an experienced and motivated Year 6 Class Teacher to cover a maternity leave position within Upper Key Stage 2 starting January 2026.
The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced primary practitioner to lead a Year 6 class, delivering high-quality teaching and learning across the curriculum and supporting pupils' transition to secondary school.

The Ideal Candidate:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience in Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.
Strong understanding of KS2 SATs preparation and strategies to support pupil progress.
Excellent classroom management, organisation, and communication skills.
Not suitable for ECTs due to the nature of the role.
This role is offered on the Main and Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS), reflecting the school's commitment to rewarding experienced teachers.
