We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive SEMH school in Wandsworth. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about supporting students with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential.
Role Details
Position: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Wandsworth, South West London
Start date: ASAP
Pay: £100-£120 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, long-term (with potential for permanent placement)
Key Responsibilities
Support pupils with SEMH needs in small groups or on a 1:1 basis.
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, accessible lessons.
Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Encourage emotional regulation, social development, and confidence in students.
Manage behaviour calmly and effectively, following the school's policies and approaches.
About You
Previous experience working with SEMH, SEN, or challenging behaviour is highly desirable.
Patient, empathetic, and able to build strong relationships with students.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A proactive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
Must have an enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply for one).
