We're working with a welcoming primary school in the Rossendale area that is looking for a Teaching Assistant who brings warmth, reliability, and a real team spirit to the classroom. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with children, supporting both their academic and emotional development.
Whether you've worked in schools before or you're looking to bring your transferable skills into education, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Supporting pupils in small groups or on a 1:1 basis
- Helping the class teacher deliver engaging lessons
- Encouraging positive behaviour and building strong relationships
- Assisting with classroom activities and learning interventions
- Being a friendly and dependable presence for children who need a little extra support
What We're Looking For:
- Someone patient, kind, and adaptable
- Good communication skills and a genuine interest in child development
- Experience with SEND is a bonus, but not essential
- A team player who's happy to get stuck in and help wherever needed
- Someone who understands the importance of safeguarding and inclusion
Applications from individuals with experience as a Child Support Worker are warmly encouraged. Your skills in building trust, offering emotional support, and working with vulnerable children are highly valued in this setting.
