Experienced Year 5 Teacher Needed - Romford Primary School
Veritas Education is working with a mainstream primary school in Romford that has a high level of need across the student body. We are seeking a qualified and experienced KS2 Teacher (not suitable for ECTs) to take on a Year 5 class from ASAP.
This is a long-term, full-time teaching role with pay banded according to experience and Outer London pay scales.
About the Role:
- Full-time teaching responsibility for a Year 5 class
- Delivering a creative, engaging and inclusive KS2 curriculum
- Working closely with the SENCO and support staff to meet a range of needs
- Managing classroom behaviour confidently and consistently
- Contributing to the wider school community and supporting pupil wellbeing
The School:
- Mainstream primary with a higher-than-average proportion of pupils with SEN and EAL
- OFSTED rated Outstanding
- Strong leadership team with a clear commitment to inclusion and high expectations
- Supportive environment with regular CPD and mentoring for experienced teachers
- Easily accessible via public transport and road links
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - ECTs will not be considered for this role
- Proven experience teaching in KS2, ideally Year 5
- Confident working in a high-needs environment
- Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
