Veritas Education is currently working with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Haringey, who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for two children in Year 4 (Key Stage 2).
This is a full-time role to start immediately, offering the opportunity to make a real difference in a rewarding school environment.
The Role:
- Provide tailored 1:1 support for two children with special educational needs in Year 4
- Assist in delivering lessons and activities that support individual learning goals
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals
- Promote a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
- Support the children with social and emotional development both inside and outside the classroom
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a 1:1 capacity
- A calm, patient, and nurturing approach to behaviour management and learning
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build strong, positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
- A proactive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting children's development
Essential:
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
- Right to work in the UK
- Two relevant references covering recent work with children
