SEN / SEMH Teaching Assistants & HLTAs - Across Hers - Hemel, Watford, Radlett, Abbots Langley Hemel | Abbots Langley | Watford | Radlett

Are you passionate about supporting children with SEN, SEMH, ASD, or ADHD? Do you believe in patience, empathy, and helping differently abled young people thrive both in and out of the classroom?

We're working with a group of truly exceptional schools in Hertfordshire who are looking for experienced Teaching Assistants (TAs), Learning Support Assistants (LSAs), and Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join their teams.

These aren't your average schools - they've built a reputation for being award-winning, innovative, and child-centred, with results that stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the very best mainstream schools. Students here achieve fantastic GCSE and vocational results, thanks to the dedication of staff and the support of a leadership team that is genuinely outstanding.

What makes these schools stand out?

  • Purpose-built facilities designed to inspire and engage

  • Access to an on-site gym for both students and staff

  • Games rooms with arcade machines, pool tables, and more to help students regulate and build social skills

  • A leadership team that listens, supports, and invests in its staff

  • A focus on preparing children for life beyond education, helping them succeed in the future

  • The roles:

  • Supporting students with SEN, SEMH, ASD, and ADHD across secondary age groups

  • Working closely with teachers and therapists to provide tailored support

  • Building positive, trusting relationships to help students grow in confidence

  • HLTA opportunities available for those ready to step up with responsibility

  • What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience supporting SEN/SEMH students is essential

  • A caring, patient and empathetic approach

  • Strong communication and resilience

  • HLTA applicants should have experience delivering lessons and leading small groups

  • This is an incredible chance to make a real difference every single day, while working in schools that truly value both their students and their staff.

    Salary: £100 - £130 per day (TA/LSA) | £120 - £140 per day (HLTA) Start: Immediate

If you're looking to join a school that combines top facilities, an inspiring leadership team, and life-changing impact for young people - we'd love to hear from you.
