School Finance Administration Assistant Location: West Drayton Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only Salary: £105 - £120 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Administrative Assistant to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in West Drayton. This is a rewarding role where you will provide vital support to the school's finance and administration functions, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the finance team with daily administrative and financial tasks.
- Process invoices, purchase orders, and payments using Sage and ARBA finance systems.
- Assist with budget monitoring, financial reporting, and maintaining accurate records.
- Liaise with staff, parents, and external stakeholders in a professional manner.
- Provide general office administration support, including handling queries, filing, and data entry.
- Ensure compliance with school financial policies, safeguarding procedures, and data protection regulations.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Finance Assistant, Finance Administrator, or Administrative Assistant in a finance environment.
- Proficiency in Sage and ARBA (essential).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines in a busy school office.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.
- Must hold a full UK driving licence with access to own vehicle.
Desirable
- Previous experience working in a school, education setting, or SEMH/SEND environment.
- Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality in a school context.
