Are you a passionate and supportive Teaching Assistant looking to make a difference in a local primary school?Veritas Education is currently working with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Lancaster seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work in a Year 4 class. This role is a combination of 1:1 support and general classroom TA duties, starting immediately and continuing on an ongoing basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 4 with additional needs
Support the class teacher with general TA duties, including small group work
Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Monitor and encourage pupil progress both academically and socially
Collaborate effectively with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider staff team
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience supporting children in a primary school setting (especially KS2)
A nurturing and patient approach, with a genuine passion for supporting learning
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
