Veritas Education are excited to partner with a fantastic primary school in Islington to recruit a passionate and dedicated Nursery Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher looking to join a vibrant and supportive school community.
The school is seeking a dynamic individual to join their Early Years team. As a Nursery Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive and nurturing environment that supports children's development and fosters a love of learning. This position is for M2 to M4 teachers - not an Early Career Teacher (ECT) - and offers opportunities for career progression, including the potential to become the Early Years Phase Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to a Nursery class.
Develop and implement engaging activities that promote the development of children's social, emotional, and academic skills.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff to support the individual needs of children.
Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback and setting targets for improvement.
Engage with parents and carers to maintain a strong partnership between home and school.
Ensure a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment that supports children's well-being and learning.
Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with at least 1 year of teaching experience (must be M2 to M4).
A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Passionate about early years education and committed to making a positive impact on children's development.
Proven experience in delivering high-quality lessons in a nursery or early years setting.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and contribute to the development of the Early Years department.
Not an Early Career Teacher (ECT) - applicants must have prior teaching experience.
