Job SummaryA vibrant and supportive primary school in Burnley is seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 3 Class Teacher to join the team from October 2025 to cover maternity leave. This is a full-time role, ideal for an enthusiastic teacher with strong KS2 experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeach a Year 3 class, following the national curriculum
Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment
Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to all abilities
Monitor and assess pupil progress, maintaining accurate records
Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to deliver high-quality education
Maintain positive communication with parents and carers
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
Experience teaching in KS2 - ideally Year 3
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Ability to differentiate instruction for SEND and EAL pupils
A proactive and professional attitude with excellent teamwork skills
Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
A welcoming and inclusive school community
Well-behaved and enthusiastic learners
Supportive senior leadership and mentoring opportunities
