- You will be positive, enthusiastic, motivational, patient and a dedicated team player
- A creative approach to lesson planning to ensure the students engage.
The role
- Conduct engaging hands-on cooking lessons for KS2-4 (and post‑16), boosting student's confidence.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit learners with SEMH Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
- Use a purpose-built kitchen to teach food hygiene, nutrition, recipe design, and life skills, helping students gain both academic qualifications and real-world culinary abilities.
- Implement personal development in each lesson, focusing on teamwork, communication and independence.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create tailored support plans and track student's progress towards reintegration, further education, or career pathways.
If you're a creative and passionate food technology teacher who believes every student regardless of background or ability deserves to be inspired, supported, and empowered, then we'd love to hear from you!
