Location: Hillingdon, London
Salary: £31,000 - £40,000 (DOE)
Contract: Full-time (term-time only)
Exciting Opportunity for a Humanities Teacher to join a Reputable SEMH Secondary School in Hillingdon.
Are you a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher seeking to make a difference in the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? A respected secondary school in Hillingdon, London, is looking for an inspiring Humanities teacher to join their team. This school provides a unique, tailored curriculum designed to support and empower students who face significant challenges in accessing traditional education.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering creative and tailored Humanities lessons that address the unique needs of students, fostering their engagement and development.
- Supporting students who are at risk or facing challenges that prevent them from attending mainstream schools, helping them to progress at their own pace.
- Promoting positive social and emotional development, encouraging independent thinking and personal responsibility.
- Working closely with colleagues to deliver an innovative curriculum designed to meet the diverse needs of each child.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred, with a relevant degree in education.
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable students and a strong understanding of SEMH needs.
- Experience teaching Humanities subjects in a secondary setting, with the ability to adapt content to engage students with different learning styles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and establish positive relationships.
- The patience, creativity, and compassion to provide a nurturing environment where students feel safe and valued.
