Job Opportunity: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Part Time Location: Greenwich, London Agency: Veritas Agency (on behalf of an Outstanding Ofsted-rated Primary School)
Veritas Agency is seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a highly regarded primary school in Greenwich. This outstanding school is committed to providing an excellent learning environment where both students and staff can thrive.
Role Details:
- Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
- Hours: Part-time, 2-3 days per week
- Working hours: 8:20 AM - 4:00 PM
- Location: Greenwich
Key Responsibilities:
- Working as a cover supervisor, delivering lesson materials to KS1 and 2 classes.
- Supporting teaching and learning in the classroom under the direction of the class teacher.
- Working with individuals and small groups to support pupil progress.
- Assisting with planning and delivering activities to meet the needs of all learners.
- Supporting behaviour management to create a positive and focused learning environment.
- Supervising pupils during lessons and other activities as required.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or similar role in a primary school setting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teaching staff.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to supporting children's development and well-being.
- Flexibility and reliability to work part-time, 2-3 days per week, with full school-day hours (8:20 AM - 4:00 PM).
