Job Title: SEND Teacher (EYFS - Year 2) Location: Preston, Lancashire Start Date: September 2025 Salary: M3 - UPS (dependent on experience) Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Preston is seeking an experienced and passionate SEND Teacher to join their dedicated team from September 2025.
This is a full-time role within the school's specialist provision, supporting pupils from EYFS to Year 2 who present with a range of additional needs, with a significant focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The successful candidate will lead tailored teaching and interventions, ensuring all learners are supported, challenged, and celebrated.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver and assess high-quality, individualised teaching for pupils with SEND, primarily ASD.
Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing classroom environment that promotes engagement and learning.
Work closely with support staff, external agencies, and families to ensure consistent and effective provision.
Contribute to EHCP reviews and maintain detailed records of progress and support strategies.
Foster positive relationships and encourage independence, communication, and social development.
The ideal candidate will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience teaching in a primary setting, ideally across EYFS to KS1.
A strong background in supporting pupils with SEND, particularly those with ASD.
Excellent knowledge of adaptive teaching strategies and early childhood development.
A nurturing, flexible approach and the ability to work as part of a collaborative, supportive team.
