Veritas Education is working with a fantastic primary school in Bromley to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from April 2025. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of primary school children, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEN, ensuring their needs are met both academically and socially.
- Work with small groups of children to support their learning and development.
- Assist in general classroom activities, helping to create a positive and inclusive environment.
- Support the classroom teacher and SENCO in implementing individual education plans (IEPs).
- Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a safe learning environment.
- Be involved in day-to-day classroom duties, including preparing learning materials and resources.
Essential Criteria:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred).
- Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is essential.
- A passion for working with young learners and supporting their individual needs.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, patient approach.
- Experience in a primary school setting would be an advantage, but not essential.
