About the Role:Veritas Education is working in partnership with a nurturing primary school in Burnley to recruit a passionate and dedicated full-time EYFS Teacher for a maternity cover position starting in March 2025. The school is looking for a creative and enthusiastic teacher to join their Early Years Foundation Stage team and provide high-quality teaching and support to young learners during this maternity cover. This is a full-time position with the opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in the EYFS curriculum
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that supports the development of young children
  • Assess and monitor children's progress, providing feedback to parents and colleagues
  • Work closely with other staff to plan and deliver a broad and balanced curriculum
  • Support the social, emotional, and academic development of each child
  • Promote positive behavior and a love for learning in all children
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Experience teaching in EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage)
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and assessment strategies
  • Passion for teaching and nurturing young children's development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Commitment to professional development and ongoing learning
