- Working Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 8:45 AM - 3:45 PM
Are you an enthusiastic and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant with a CACHE Level 3 qualification? Do you have experience supporting young children with special educational needs in a classroom environment? If so, we would love to hear from you!
About the Role:A lovely primary school in Isleworth is looking for a dedicated and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join their Reception class from January 2025 until 17th July 2025. This full-time, term-time position requires someone who is committed to supporting the educational and social development of children with special educational needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support the learning, wellbeing, and development of children in the Reception class. You will provide tailored support to students with additional needs, helping them to achieve their individual learning goals and ensuring a positive classroom experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children with special educational needs in the Reception class, both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of activities that meet the diverse needs of the children.
- Promote positive behaviour and assist with social and emotional development.
- Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher and other staff to implement effective strategies for supporting SEN students.
- Assist in the assessment and recording of student progress.
About You:To be successful in this role, you will need:
- CACHE Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with children in the early years or with special educational needs.
- A good understanding of how to support children with SEN, particularly in a Reception setting.
- A positive and proactive approach to supporting children's learning and development.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- The ability to work with patience, empathy, and a sense of humour.
