We are seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Nursery Practitioner (Level 3) to join our dedicated team in a specialised SEN unit. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with children with a variety of special educational needs in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and education to children with special educational needs in the SEN unit.
- Support individual children to engage in learning activities, develop skills, and promote independence.
- Work collaboratively with the team to create and implement personalised learning plans.
- Assist with the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, adapting activities to meet each child's unique needs.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to support children's progress and well-being.
- Observe and track children's development, providing feedback and support as needed.
- Attend regular training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent (essential).
- Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and its application in a SEN setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm and focused in challenging situations.
