We are excited to announce an opening for a Nursery Assistant Deputy in our new nursery located in Skipton. About the Role:
As the Nursery Assistant Deputy for our Toddler Building, you will play a key role in supporting the nursery's day-to-day operations. Working closely with the Nursery Manager, you will oversee the care and development of children in the toddler age group, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment. Your leadership will contribute to the overall growth and success of the nursery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management and smooth running of the toddler room, ensuring all children are cared for in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment.
- Supervise and guide a team of nursery staff, providing support, training, and motivation.
- Ensure the delivery of the EYFS curriculum and plan age-appropriate activities that promote development and learning.
- Work closely with parents and carers, offering feedback and advice on child development.
- Assist in maintaining nursery policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Take on leadership duties in the absence of the Nursery Manager.
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years of managerial experience within a childcare setting.
- A passion for working with toddlers and supporting their development.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
- A commitment to creating a warm and nurturing environment for children.
