We are currently working with an an outstanding Alternative Provision dedicated to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs in Leeds. We will now be recruiting individuals for full time positions starting ASAP and continuing on into the new Academic year (September).

Role Overview: As an Educational Support Worker, you'll play a crucial role in our students' journey toward success. You'll work closely with individuals and small groups, providing tailored support to address their specific needs and challenges. Whether it's assisting with academic coursework, offering emotional guidance, or facilitating positive social interactions, your dedication and compassion will make a lasting impact on our students' lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, both in academic and personal development areas.
  • Assist students in overcoming barriers to learning, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Monitor and track student progress, adjusting interventions as needed to ensure ongoing success.
  • Actively promote positive behavior and emotional well-being through encouragement, guidance, and role modeling.
  • Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people, particularly those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, is highly desirable but not a neccessity. We look for individuals with personal experience and relavtive skills also.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students and colleagues alike.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive attitude towards addressing challenges and embracing opportunities for growth.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, social work, psychology, or related fields are advantageous.
