The Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join our enthusiastic team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students to achieve their best. As a Year 6 teacher, you will play a pivotal role in preparing students for their transition to secondary school, ensuring they are confident, resilient, and ready for the challenges ahead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Prepare students for SATs, ensuring they reach their full potential.
  • Create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes a love of learning.
  • Monitor and assess pupils' progress, providing feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Support the school's ethos, contributing to extra-curricular activities and whole-school initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and resources.
  • Uphold the school's behavior policy, fostering a positive and respectful classroom culture.
  • Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a recognized teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Year 6 or upper Key Stage 2 is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum and SATs requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a collaborative approach to teaching.
  • An enthusiasm for working within a supportive and forward-thinking school community.
