Job Title: Teaching Assistant (Year 1) Location: Primary School in Blackburn, East Lancashire
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a Year 1 class at a Primary School in East Lancashire. In this role, you will provide vital support to the class teacher, assist with learning activities, and ensure the effective learning and development of pupils. You will also play an important role in supporting students during break times and delivering positive encouragement and feedback. This position offers an excellent opportunity for those looking to make a real difference in the lives of young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and classroom management
- Provide one-on-one and small group learning support for pupils
- Assist with break time and playground supervision
- Offer positive feedback and encouragement to students
- Help in the preparation and delivery of lesson plans and activities
Requirements:
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a primary school setting
- Relevant qualification in supporting teaching and learning (or equivalent)
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
