SEN Teaching Assistant - SEMH Secondary School - Watford

We're working with a Specialist SEMH Secondary School in Watford who are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. The school caters for students with SEMH, ASD, ADHD and associated needs, offering a nurturing and structured environment.

The role:

  • Supporting students aged 11-16 with social, emotional, and mental health needs

  • Working 1:1 and in small groups

  • Helping pupils manage emotions, build confidence, and access learning

  • Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in an SEMH or SEN setting essential

  • Confidence managing challenging behaviour

  • Empathy, patience, and resilience

  • Details:

  • Location: Watford

  • Pay: £100-£120 per day (dependent on experience)

  • Long-term, full-time position
