Full-Time Room Leader - Baby Room or Pre-School | East Keswick (LS17) Location: East Keswick, LS17 Position: Room Leader (Baby Room or Pre-School) Hours: Full Time, Permanent Start Date: ASAP
I'm recruiting on behalf of a large, purpose-built day nursery in East Keswick (LS17), who are looking to welcome a confident and experienced Room Leader to their growing team.
This well-established nursery offers fantastic facilities, large, well-resourced rooms, and a strong focus on high-quality early years education. There's scope for the right candidate to lead either in the Baby Room or the Pre-School, which has been specially designed to prepare children for their transition to school.
The setting is perfect for an ambitious Early Years professional looking to grow into senior nursery leadership or management roles, with ongoing training and development available.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Leading a team in either the Baby Room or Pre-School
Delivering the EYFS curriculum through fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities
Supporting, mentoring, and motivating room staff
Ensuring a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment for all children
Communicating effectively with parents and senior management
Supporting with rota, planning, assessments and safeguarding
What We're Looking For:
Level 3 or higher qualification in Early Years or Childcare
Previous experience as a Room Leader or a Senior Practitioner ready to step up
Excellent knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and child development
Strong leadership, communication and teamworking skills
A genuine passion for childcare and early education
