Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time + 2 weeks, Permanent
Location: Southwark
We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Exams Officer to take full responsibility for the planning, administration, and delivery of all internal and external examinations at our school.
This is a pivotal role that ensures the smooth and compliant running of the entire examination process. From liaising with awarding bodies and managing exam entries to coordinating access arrangements and maintaining regulatory compliance, you will be central to providing a seamless experience for both students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of exam administration, including GCSEs and internal assessments
Liaise with exam boards and manage all exam entries and amendments
Coordinate access arrangements in collaboration with the SEND team
Recruit, train, and manage a team of invigilators
Produce and distribute exam timetables for students and staff
Ensure the secure storage and handling of confidential exam materials
Act as the first point of contact for all examination-related queries from staff, students, and parents
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with JCQ and awarding body regulations
About You:
Experienced in exams administration within a school setting (essential)
Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Able to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Discreet, reliable, and committed to upholding confidentiality and high professional standards
