Veritas Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Eastbourne, seeking reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors and Supply Teachers to support day-to-day cover needs across the school.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and enjoy working with young people. Whether you're an experienced educator or looking to gain classroom experience before pursuing teacher training, this role offers flexibility and valuable experience in a supportive school environment.
The Role:
- Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
- Ensure students remain on task with the work set by the teacher.
- Maintain a positive and focused classroom environment.
- Follow school policies and procedures, including behaviour management.
What We're Looking For:
- Confident individuals who are comfortable being the responsible adult in the classroom.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Adaptability to work across different subjects and year groups.
- A genuine interest in supporting young people's learning and development.
- Previous experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential.
- QTS is desirable but not required.
- Must have (or be willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS on the update service.
