SEN Teaching Assistant - Bagshot, Surrey - September 2025 Start

We're looking for a caring, committed, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school community in Bagshot, Surrey, from September 2025. Location: Bagshot, Surrey

Start Date: September 2025Contract: Full-time, Term-Time OnlySalary: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs (including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties), helping them access the curriculum, develop social skills, and build confidence in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SEN

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement EHCPs and tailored support strategies

  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

  • Support with behaviour management and emotional regulation

  • Track and report progress to staff and parents

  • About You:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (in a school or similar setting)

  • Patient, empathetic, and positive approach to learning support

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team

  • A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, TA qualification) is desirable but not essential
