Are you a resilient, passionate, and creative Maths teacher who thrives on building relationships and making a difference? We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maths Teacher to join a small, nurturing school in North Tyneside, which specialises in educating young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism, and a range of learning and cognitive difficulties.

Duties:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils, in small-group or 1:1 settings.
- Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of learning, emotional, and behavioural needs.
- Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils based on consistency, respect, and clear boundaries.
- Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team, including therapists, SENCOs, and pastoral staff.
- Contribute to EHCP reviews, behaviour plans, and personalised learning strategies.
What We're Looking For:
- A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with a passion for inclusion and equity in education.
- Experience working with students with SEMH, Autism, or SEND (in mainstream or specialist settings).
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills, grounded in empathy and structure.
- Ability to think flexibly, remain calm under pressure, and celebrate small wins.
- A reflective practitioner who values teamwork, resilience, and continued learning.
- Candidate with enhanced DBS clearance and suitable references.
This role is ideal for a teacher who wants to move beyond the traditional classroom, work in a trauma-informed environment, and create meaningful relationships through education.
