SEN Teaching Assistant - Behaviour Unit (Primary) Location: Lewisham, South East London Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Full-time, Term-Time Only Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Veritas Education are working in partnership with a dedicated primary behaviour unit in Lewisham to recruit an experienced and confident SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time role starting in September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work across all key stages (EYFS to KS2) in a specialist setting that supports pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs (SEMH).
The Role:
- Provide consistent support to pupils with behavioural challenges across various year groups
- Assist with the implementation of behaviour support plans and individual learning strategies
- Use de-escalation and positive behaviour techniques to manage challenging situations
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, helping them to engage positively in their learning
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
