Pastoral Worker - Secondary School | Leeds | September Start
Veritas Education is looking to appoint an experienced Pastoral Worker for a secondary school in Leeds, starting in September 2025. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity for someone passionate about student wellbeing and support.
The Role:
You will work closely with students, staff, and families to provide pastoral care, helping to remove barriers to learning and promote a safe, inclusive environment. You'll support pupils facing emotional, behavioural, or social challenges and play a key role in promoting positive behaviour and attendance.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver 1:1 and small group pastoral interventions
Monitor student wellbeing, behaviour, and attendance
Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies
Support the wider safeguarding and pastoral team
Essential Requirements:
Must be based in Leeds or able to travel daily to the school
Previous experience in a pastoral or school-based support role
Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
