Job Title: Year 6 Teaching Assistant (KS2) Location: Blackburn Contract: Until July, with potential to continue in September
Hours: 8:30am to 3:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break Scale: Level 2
Are you a passionate and supportive Teaching Assistant looking for your next role? We're working with a friendly primary school in Blackburn who are looking for a Year 6 TA to join their team on a contract basis until July - with a good chance of it continuing in September.
In this role, you'll be working closely with the class teacher to support children as they prepare for their end-of-year SATs. It's a great opportunity to make a real difference at a key stage in their learning journey.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting the Year 6 teacher with day-to-day classroom activities
- Working with small groups and individual pupils to help with literacy, numeracy, and general learning
- Helping pupils stay engaged, focused, and positive
- Preparing learning resources and supporting classroom organisation
- Encouraging progress and confidence in pupils
