SEN Teaching Assistant
Pay: £90-£110 per day
Full-time/ Term Time only
Havering, North London
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and supportive team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students with special educational needs, working closely with teachers and the SENCO to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive.
SEN Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEN, including those with ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties, and/or emotional and behavioural needs.
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of tailored learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
- Promote inclusion and encourage independence both inside and outside the classroom.
- Support the development of students' social, emotional, and academic skills.
- Monitor and record pupils' progress and report to relevant staff.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and parents/carers.
SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting children with additional needs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt learning materials and strategies to suit individual pupils.
