The Opportunity:
Veritas are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Graduate to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Colindale as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. You'll work closely with students aged 11-16, supporting them in lessons and across the curriculum. This is a fantastic first step for graduates who are serious about progressing into teacher training or are considering working within education.
Your Role Will Involve:
Assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons
Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups with classwork, homework, and revision
Helping to manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
Offering targeted support to students who may need extra help grasping key scientific concepts
Contributing to wider school life, including extracurricular activities and enrichment
What We're Looking For:
A degree (minimum lower second)
A genuine interest in working with young people and in education
Some experience with secondary-aged pupils - e.g., through tutoring, mentoring, summer schools, or previous TA work
A confident communicator with good organisational skills
A proactive, positive, and reliable approach
