Behaviour Support Assistant
North and East London

Veritas Education work with a variety of primary, secondary, and SEN schools across London and the surrounding areas, providing high-quality teachers and support staff for long-term, short-term, permanent, and daily supply roles. We partner with state, private, and independent schools, building strong, trusted relationships with our clients.
We are currently working with SEN schools, including SEMH schools, in North and East London that are seeking experienced Behaviour Support Assistants to join their teams. This full-time role is Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, term time only.
In this role, you will provide one-to-one support to students with a range of behavioural, social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as work with small groups of learners. Your primary focus will be on delivering essential learning support while ensuring a positive and supportive experience for each student.
Key Responsibilities for Behaviour Support Assistant:
- Supporting students with a range of behavioural, social, emotional, mental health, and educational needs.
- Working proactively to help students achieve their academic and personal goals.
- Encouraging students to actively engage with their learning in a positive and constructive manner.
- Helping to create and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Assisting teachers in delivering lessons and supporting students' overall development.
As a Behaviour Support Assistant you will have:
- Proven experience working with children or young people with behavioural or special educational needs.
- Previous experience supporting children and young people with diverse needs in an educational or care setting.
- Knowledge of effective learning and behaviour management strategies.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to making a positive difference.
- Strong ability to build meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families.
