We partner with state, private, and independent schools, building strong, trusted relationships with our clients.
We are currently seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistants for schools in Hertfordhsire. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working with primary and/or secondary students with special educational needs and learning difficulties, providing tailored support to help them achieve their potential in both academic and personal development. The ideal candidate will have a compassionate and proactive approach, with experience supporting students with SEN in an educational setting.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting students on a 1:1 basis who have SEN and learning difficulties
- Working proactively to help students achieve their attainment levels
- Encourage students to engage proactively with their learning
- Helping to provide a safe environment for children to learn.
- Assisting the teacher with students general learning and development.
The ideal candidate:
- A strong understanding of special educational needs
- A strong communicator, able to build a rapport with young people
- Patient and empathetic
- Reliable and committed to the school and students' improvement
- Enthusiastic and engaging
- Able to work alongside the teacher and independently
- Certifications and attendance to training courses for SEN are beneficial, as well as first hand experience with SEN.
