Year 1/2 Teaching Assistant
Position: Teaching Assistant Year 1/2
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45 am - 3:30 pm
Location: PR3
Contract Type: Long term, ongoing
Salary: £14.20 per hour
The Role:
A primary school in the Garstang area are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the team, supporting their Year 1/2 class. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a vibrant and welcoming school environment, helping children to achieve their full potential.
This position is to start immediately, subject to reference and DBS checks on a long term basis.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Assisting pupils with their learning on a one-to-one or small-group basis.
- Preparing classroom materials and resources.
- Promoting positive behaviour and ensuring the welfare and safety of all children.
- Encouraging pupils' independence and participation in activities.
- Supporting the class teacher with administrative tasks and classroom organization.
- Contributing to a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children in a school or similar setting is desirable.
- A passion for education and supporting children's learning and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, patient, and flexible approach.
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
