The Role:As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant for KS2, you will play a key role in supporting teachers and students across the curriculum. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the planning and delivery of engaging lessons for children in Years 3-6
- Providing targeted support for individual students, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN)
- Monitoring and assessing student progress, contributing to reports and IEPs (Individual Education Plans)
- Leading small groups and providing intervention to help children reach their learning goals
- Supporting the teacher in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Building strong relationships with students, staff, and parents
The Ideal Candidate:We are looking for a motivated and proactive individual who has:
- A recognised Higher-Level Teaching Assistant qualification (HLTA or equivalent)
- Experience working with KS2 children, particularly in a classroom or support role
- A strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum, assessment methods, and SEN provision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- A positive and enthusiastic approach to supporting children's learning
