Learning Support Assistant -

  • Have you just finished your university degree or college qualification based around education or childcare and want to get into your first full time role?

  • Veritas Education:

    We are seeking confident individuals who have a passion for supporting children and young people within their educational settings. Veritas work alongside a variety of different schools in and around the Leeds/West Yorkshire area, who are looking for supportive, enthusiastic, and reliable teaching assistants/support staff to help in their schools.

    We currently have multiple learning assistant roles available around the Leeds area, from mainstream primary schools (Early Years to Year 6) to Special Needs Settings supporting learners with Autism, behavioural and learning needs.

    Mainstream primary SEN roles and Special Needs schools are a great way to start your journey into education and to build on your current school experience, as you develop new skills when it comes to supporting additional needs, behaviour and lesson content.

    Key skills required:

  • Passion for wanting to support and help children/young people
  • Confident supporting children in different classes and age groups
  • Enthusiastic, hard-working, energetic, and reliable
  • Able to build meaningful relationships with both learners and staff
  • Willing to help get stuck in and involved in the day-to-day lessons and activities across the school!
