At Veritas we work with a number of schools across London and the surrounding areas, supplying qualified teachers for various roles, including long-term, short-term, daily, and permanent positions. Our partnerships span across state, private, independent, and SEN schools, and we pride ourselves on the strong, trusted relationships we have built with these institutions.
We are currently looking for qualified and experienced teachers, specialising in English, Maths, and Science, to fill vacancies in SEN and SEMH schools across SW London and Surrey.
About the SEN Teacher Role:
As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering tailored lessons to students with a variety of special educational needs, ensuring they have the best opportunity to succeed academically and personally. You will work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and other staff to provide a nurturing environment that meets the individual needs of each student.
Key Responsibilities for SEN Teacher:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEN
- Support students in overcoming barriers to learning and help build their confidence and independence
- Work closely with other educators and support staff to create personalized learning plans
- Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting teaching methods as required
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them updated on student progress
About You:
- Hold applicable qualifications (ideally you will have QTS or equivalent)
- Experience in teaching students with SEN, including those with SEMH, in a classroom setting
- Patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting students with special educational needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- being committed to safeguarding and welfare of students
ECTs with SEN experience are welcome!
