Are you passionate about education and looking for an opportunity to make a difference in schools across Wakefield? Veritas Education is seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work across a number of schools in the Wakefield area. This is an exciting chance to play a key role in supporting the education and development of students.
About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans in the absence of the class teacher.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment.
- Support students with their learning, ensuring they stay on task.
- Work across multiple schools within a local trust, gaining a variety of experience.
- Be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of each school's timetable.
This role is ideal for individuals who are considering a career in teaching, recent graduates, or those with experience in education, youth work, or related fields.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Are confident in leading groups of students.
- Are adaptable and willing to work across multiple schools.
- Hold a degree (desirable but not essential).
- Have previous experience working with young people (in any capacity).
A valid Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is required for this role. If you do not have one, Veritas Education can assist with the application process.
