Speech and Language TherapistVeritas Education is currently working with one of our partner schools in Rotherham to find a dedicated and skilled Speech and Language Therapist. In this role, you will assess, plan, and deliver therapy for students facing communication barriers and language needs.
Role Overview:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify pupils' speech, language, and communication needs.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in collaboration with SEN staff.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to help students improve their communication skills.
- Monitor, report, and adjust therapy plans based on students' progress and evolving needs.
- Collaborate closely with the SENDCO and other staff to ensure seamless support for all pupils.
- Engage with parents and carers to provide guidance and training on supporting communication development at home.
Ideal Candidate:
- Fully qualified in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Strong understanding of SEN and proven experience working with children in an educational setting.
- A flexible and student-focused approach to promoting wellbeing and development.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Makaton is highly desirable.

- Experience working with children with complex needs.
