Primary Teaching Assistants required SW LondonASAP and January 2025 start£95-105 per day
Veritas Education work with a variety of primary, secondary, and SEN schools across London and the surrounding areas, providing high-quality teachers and support staff for long-term, short-term, permanent, and daily supply roles. We partner with state, private, and independent schools, building strong, trusted relationships with our clients.
We are currently working with a number of primary schools across SW London that require experienced Teaching Assistants for full time positions starting asap and January 2025. (Monday - Friday, 8.30am-4pm, term time only). These roles will involve supporting a diverse range of students, with a particular focus on those with Special Educational Needs.
As a Teaching Assistant your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting students in achieving their academic goals and reaching their full potential.
- Encouraging students to engage proactively with their learning and develop independence.
- Ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for children to learn and thrive.
- Assisting the class teacher with behaviour management, promoting positive behaviour, and supporting general learning and development.
- Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring their individual learning needs are met and they feel included in the classroom.
- Demonstrating good presentation and clear articulation skills to assist with communication and understanding.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with children or young people, especially those with SEN, or have a strong interest in pursuing a career in education.
- Hold a Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent), or a degree in a related field.
- Be patient, adaptable, and able to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Have strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to motivate and support students effectively.
