Job Advertisement: Year 4 Extreme Behaviour Support and Swimming Group Teacher
Location: LancasterPosition: Part-time (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday)Hours: 11:30 AM - 3:15 PM
We are seeking an experienced and resilient Year 4 Extreme Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team. This role focuses on providing support to children with extreme behaviour needs and teaching swimming in a group setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to Year 4 students with extreme behaviour needs in a mainstream classroom.
- Teach swimming in a group setting, ensuring a safe and positive experience for all participants.
- Lead and manage play during playtimes and lunchtimes, promoting positive interactions (not just supervision).
- Use effective strategies to manage challenging behaviours and create a supportive environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to track progress and adapt support strategies as necessary.
Requirements:
- Experience managing children with extreme behaviour needs in mainstream settings.
- Previous experience teaching swimming is preferable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A resilient and proactive character with a passion for supporting children's development.
