Year 1 Teacher - Morecambe - Full Time - September 2024

A primary school in Morecambe is seeking a Year 1 Teacher to join their team in KS2 from September 2024. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality education and nurturing the growth and development. This is a full time role, working 5 days per week. This will be initially from September until October 2024 with a view of this continuing further.

This position is to start in September 2024 for initially half a term. This is likely to continue further - TBC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of KS1 children.
  • Create a supportive and stimulating learning environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and exploration.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to facilitate children's learning across all areas of the KS1 curriculum.
  • Assess children's progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of their achievements.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support children's holistic development.
  • Uphold the school's policies and procedures, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment for all.
  • Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching in KS2.
  • Strong understanding of KS1 curriculum
  • Ability to plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons that promote children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
