Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Area Supervisor to oversee the smooth operation of two rooms within our nursery. This role is integral to maintaining our high standards of care and ensuring a positive experience for both children and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Management: Supervise and support staff within your assigned rooms, ensuring effective team collaboration and a positive working environment.
  • Childcare: Oversee the welfare and development of children in your care, adhering to all safety and educational guidelines.
  • Decision-Making: Work closely with the management team to contribute to the strategic planning and operational decisions for the nursery.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all nursery policies and regulatory requirements are met within your rooms.
  • Parent Communication: Foster strong relationships with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities provided by the nursery.

  • Qualifications & Experience:

  • Required: Relevant childcare qualification (Level 3 or higher) and substantial experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a nursery setting.
  • Preferred: Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and previous experience managing multiple rooms or areas.
  • Key Attributes:

  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication abilities, both with staff and parents.
  • Passionate about childcare and committed to delivering high-quality early education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
